Financial technology ties between Japan and Singapore are tighter with the inking of a new agreement between fintech associations.
The Singapore fintech association (Sfa) and the fintech association of Japan (Faj) signed a memorandum to cultivate stronger fintech cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by Sfa's Chia Hock Lai and Jfa's Natalie Shihomi Fleming at the recent Money 20/20 Asia event held in Singapore. The partnership will be raise the profile of the Japanese fintech industry and promote Singapore as a destination for Japanese fintech firms.
The Sfa has welcomed a variety of partner organizations on to its platform, ranging from local academic institutions and associations, to international fintech hubs. Accords are also in place with Abu Dhabi, Denmark, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, New Zealand and Switzerland.
