Two Sigma appointed a Head of the Asia Pacific region and CEO of the company's Hong Kong entity.
Data science firm Two Sigma appointed Kenny Lam as Head of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company's Hong Kong entity, Two Sigma Asia Pacific, effective upon regulatory approval. He starts with the company on April 8, 2019, according to a media statement sent on Tuesday.
Lam has a track record of helping businesses grow across APAC. He previously served as Group President of Noah Holdings, a wealth and asset management service provider in China. In this role, he oversaw all of Noah's operations and strategic initiatives.
Long History Working Across Asia
Prior to Noah, Lam served as a Global Senior Partner at McKinsey based in Hong Kong, and he worked at the law firm Shearman & Sterling in both New York and Hong Kong. He received his law degree from Oxford University and a B.S. in finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
Two Sigma has a long history working across APAC, with offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo, and plans to expand its office in Shanghai at some point in 2019. Today, Two Sigma has over 1,500 employees and offices in New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Houston and London.
