The Swiss private bank EFG International has made a slew of appointments to its Singapore team, bringing numerous industry veterans on board.
In line with its ambitions to grow its business in Asia Pacific, EFG has gone on a hiring spree, according to «Citywire Asia», which reported eight new appointments at the firm.
Among the new hires is Brandon Wong, who joins as senior investment counselor. He joins from BNP Paribas Wealth Management, where he spent nine years as an investment couselor.
Former BNP Paribas WM Taiwan team director Grace Wong, a two-decade industry veteran, was appointed senior vice president, client relationship officer, in EFG's Greater China team.
Whilton Leo was also hired as managing director, client relationship officer. He brings two decades of wealth management experience, most recently at J Safra Sarasin, where he was a senior director for client advisory.
Global South Asia Grows
EFG has also hired five private bankers from Bank of Singapore to its Global South Asia team as executive directors, based in Singapore: Jayanta Chatterjee, Manoj Samtani, Rohit Punjabi, Vishal Rajani and Nitin Kakaria, «Citywire Asia» reported.
This follows EFG's October appointment of managing director and team head Manoj Ramarao, who joined the firm after more than 11 years at the private banking arm of OCBC.
