After 15 years in Singapore, Christian Senn, market group head for the Philippines and South Asia at Credit Suisse, has decided to return to Switzerland to explore opportunities within the bank. His successor comes from within the firm.
To continue the growth of the Philippines market, Marcus Slöör has been appointed as market group head Philippines, in addition to his existing responsibility as market group head Thailand and Vietnam. The changes will take effect from December 1, 2020, a spokesperson confirmed.
The Finnish citizen Slöör has held various market management roles since joining Credit Suisse in 2014 as market group head Malaysia where he successfully cemented our position as the leading private bank for Malaysian clients. He was subsequently appointed market group head Thailand and Vietnam in 2018.
«With his track record and experience in managing markets across multiple jurisdictions whilst designing and implementing strategy, Marcus Slöör is well placed to lead our Philippines franchise,» Benjamin Cavalli, Head of Private Banking South Asia at Credit Suisse, said.
Today the Philippines market is a key growth market for the firm's Private Banking South Asia franchise. The Swiss bank has established an effective operating model with Philippines teams in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Representative Office in Manila. Credit Suisse continues its ambitious plans to develop its private banking business, Cavalli further added.
