The platform will allow industry players to collaborate, share best practices and build new capabilities.
The Wealth Management Institute is launching the Global-Asia Family Office Circle (GFO Circle), a new network aimed at supporting the growth of family offices in Singapore and strengthen the city state's position as a global family office hub in Asia.
Apart from community building, the platform will also focus on capability development to support a stronger industry talent pipeline with deeper levels of expertise, as well as help build investment capabilities in the sector through education programmes, research and thought leadership forums.
The platform is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and has already inked partnerships with Dalio Philanthropies and the Gates Foundation for its programs.
Growing Space
Singapore's family office industry has been growing rapidly in recent years, with the number of family offices in the city-state doubling year-on-year to approximately 400 as at end-2020.
WMI said it hopes the GFO Circle can build on this momentum to strengthen links across the different players in the family office community
