The Swiss lender is looking for someone to attend to bankers' well-being. The candidate is likely to find an ally in the bank's chairman.
Credit Suisse is looking for a head of wellbeing based in Zurich to establish a wellbeing framework for the bank, according to a job post. The bank's previous global head of wellbeing and benefits strategy Laura Jackson, left in June.
Now the lender needs someone to design wellbeing services, which are «preventative in nature» and can influence the firm’s wellbeing strategy. Work-life balance has moved center stage as sectors, including financial services, are fighting to keep employees from quitting their jobs as «the great resignation» looms.

Examples of these include Goldman Sachs which trained 100 of its bankers in London to become mental health first-aiders, and law firms in the U.K. that hired wellness coaches to stop overworked lawyers, struggling to grind through this year’s mergers and acquisitions work.
Credit Suisse is looking for applicants with expertise in psychology, health management, or human resources. The person who gets the position is likely to find an ally in Credit Suisse's chair António Horta-Osório, who was one of the first financial services CEOs to speak openly about his own burn-out.
