British insurer Prudential has named a former KPMG executive to lead technology and operations for the firm.
Prudential has appointed Anette Bronder as chief technology and operations officer, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to CEO Anil Wadhwani and will also join the group executive committee on May 1.
In the newly created role, Bronder will be responsible for tech and operations, focusing on defining the insurer's target operating models to drive financial and operational discipline, maximizing economies of skill and scale across 24 markets as well as improving customer experience.

Prior to joining Prudential, Bronder was a KPMG partner focused on digital transformation programs in the insurance industry. Previously, she was group chief operating officer at Swiss Re and also served in senior positions across the technology and telecommunications sectors.
