Asia was the leading region in terms of net new assets recorded at EFG in the first six months of the year.
In the first half of 2024, EFG International’s Asia business recorded net new asset of 2.4 billion Swiss francs ($2.7 billion), according to the bank’s financial results, making it the leading region worldwide. This included strong performance across all locations, especially in Australia. Overall, assets under management (AUM) in Asia grew 20 percent to 35.8 billion francs.
Profit in the region nearly tripled year-on-year to 15.1 million francs, mainly driven by strong revenue growth of 19 percent to 96.1 million francs. By return on AUM, Asia was the weakest region at 62 basis points. The total number of full-time employees was flat at 337.
Globally, net profit rose 10 percent year-on-year to reach a record 162.8 million Swiss francs.
