Credit Suisse's integration into UBS is becoming more apparent, with a notable example being the UBS logo now displayed on the former CS headquarters.
This is more than just a bank building. The historic property at Paradeplatz 8 has become a symbol of Switzerland's financial center.
Built by architect Jakob Friedrich Wanner as the headquarters of the Schweizerische Kreditanstalt, the building was inaugurated in 1876. Until UBS's acquisition, Paradeplatz 8 served as the headquarters of Credit Suisse.
History Now
The bank is now part of history. The logo has also disappeared from the façade. Since Friday, the logo of its former biggest competitor has taken its place.
«For UBS, this is another step in the realization of its new Paradeplatz campus and a recognition of the historic building’s significance for the financial center,» UBS stated in a press release.

Last spring, UBS announced to transform Paradeplatz into a massive campus. This campus includes the properties at Paradeplatz 8, Paradeplatz 6, Bärengasse, and Bärenhof.
«For the bank, these are strategically and historically significant properties in Zurich’s city center, which will be used for the benefit of clients, employees, and the general public,» UBS stated.
In the future, around 4'000 employees will work across these four buildings.
First Phase in 2027
At Paradeplatz 6, renovations are currently in full swing, involving a noisy and complete gutting of the UBS building. The opening is planned for early 2027.
This building will primarily serve international wealth management clients. Additionally, the ground floor and first basement level will be publicly accessible. These spaces will feature a mix of various gastronomy and retail offerings.
First Teams Moving In
UBS also plans to renovate Paradeplatz 8 and make it more appealing to the public. Additional commercial spaces and dining options are planned for the ground floor. The building will also house teams focused on Swiss client services.
According to the bank, the first teams are expected to move in within a few days. Additionally, the branch in this building will be upgraded by the end of the current quarter to serve clients with both Credit Suisse and UBS products.
