As the official timekeeper of the Summer Olympics in Paris, Omega is stepping into the spotlight with a star-studded lineup. Superstars such as Michael Phelps, Bastian Baker, Cindy Crawford and a Swiss Federal Councillor are part of the festivities.

When you think of the Olympics, you think of Omega: The Swiss watchmaker has a nearly century-long connection with the Olympic Games. The company, headquartered in Biel, has been the official timekeeper for the competitions no less than 31 times.

Originally selected for its precision, the company is present in Paris with 550 timekeepers, supported by 350 tons of equipment. Winners in time-critical sports are determined with the help of Swiss technology.

Near the Musée d'Orsay

During the Summer Games, the social hub of Omega is the so-called Omega House in the Hôtel de Poulpry, Maison des Polytechniciens, near the Musée d'Orsay.

At the opening ceremony of the Omega House, actress Cindy Crawford, who has been a brand ambassador for Omega since 1995, was in attendance. She was joined by American supermodel Kaia Gerber.

Swiss Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis also paid a visit to the Swiss watchmaker, expressing his delight that Omega is «a natural and symbiotic partner of the Maison Suisse at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.»

«Excellence»

Overseeing the star parade at the Omega House is Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of the Swatch Group-owned company. During the federal visit, he said, «We are proud to be Swiss and I am pleased to showcase the excellence our brand brings to the Olympic Games.»

The official timekeeper already has its sights set on the next Summer Olympics, which will take place in Los Angeles in 2028. At a Hollywood-themed party, Allyson Felix, Casey Wasserman, Alisha Boe, Paul Wesley, Jesse Williams and Chase Stokes were among the attendees.
