Secretive wealth manager Edmond de Rothschild is beefing up its communications and public relations with two key appointments.
Swiss private bank Edmond de Rotschild said it has named Florence Gaubert as head of external affairs, effective this past March. The appointments are one of the first tangible signs of branding and marketing head Robert Jenkins' efforts to make better use of the cachet of the Rothschild family, which controls the wealth manager.
Gaubert, a former top communications executive for French market regulator AMF, will define and coordinate the Swiss private bank's public relations strategy as well as institutional relations from Paris. Rothschild pulled out of Hong Kong private banking last year, but maintains a presence for asset management.
The bank, which is run by Ariane de Rothschild, the wife of Rothschild heir and bank chairman Benjamin Rothschild, also named Sarah Arnett (pictured above) to run communications for France, as well as be brand manager for the entire firm. Previously, Arnett was head of communications in Switzerland.
