Credit Suisse has hired a former Citi banker as new head of wealth management Thailand starting on March 20. He takes over from Thippa Praneeprachachon.

Natt Thanomsat will be the new head of wealth management Thailand come March, where he will lead a team of investment planners, according to a press release by Credit Suisse. Based in Bangkok, he will report to Marcus Slöör, market group head Thailand and Vietnam, and locally to Chris Prasertsintanah, Thailand Country Manager.

«We are delighted to have Natt Thanomsat lead our local wealth management in Thailand. He will drive our wealth management business, building on the foundation Thippa Praneeprachachon has built since joining Credit Suisse in June 2016. Since launch, our Thailand Wealth Management business has recorded strong growth with Assets under Management increasing more than tenfold, while the size of the local Wealth Management Team doubled in 2018,» said Slöör.

Stepping Down After Three Decades

Natt joins Credit Suisse from Citi Thailand where he was the Head of Thailand Equities and Head of Sales at Citicorp Securities. He has more than 15 years of experience in financial services in Singapore and Thailand with J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, with an established track record in driving businesses and sales and developing client relationships.

Praneeprachachon is stepping down as she will retire after more than three decades in the private banking industry, the bank said. She will continue to support Credit Suisse as a senior advisor for its Wealth Management franchise in Thailand to help develop business and client opportunities.
