She succeeds Musheer Ahmed as general manager, who has held the role since the launch of the association in 2017, and who will remain active as a member of the board.
The Fintech Association of Hong Kong has appointed financial services industry veteran Helene Li as general manager, the organization said in a statement on Wednesday.
Li, who has held leadership positions in firms like BNP Paribas, JP Morgan and Lombard Odier, is also a «leading voice on digital transformation and all aspects of fintech,» the announcement said, noting that she was ranked a top-two influencer by both Refinitiv and Onalytica. She is also an advocate for sustainable finance and impact investment, and co-founded GoImpact, an organization that aims to promote sustainable investing.
The independent, not-for-profit, association representing Hong Kong’s local and global fintech community was founded in 2017, and has since grown to more than 1,500 members and 350 firms, becoming the voice of the industry in the special administrative region.
