She will also be responsible for strengthening the company's wealth management capabilities and accelerating the growth of the Group Life and Health business.

Sun Life Hong Kong has announced the appointment of Rainbow Pan as general manager, wealth and pensions, who takes over from retiring Belinda Luk in November, the firm said in a press release on Thursday.

Pan brings two decades of international experience in the financial services industry. She joins from Tahoe Life, where she was most recently its chief partnership distribution officer. She was previously general manager for the Greater China region for health insurer Bupa Global.

«Remarkable Achievements»

Luk, who joined Sun Life 11 years ago, will continue to work with Sun Life in her capacity as special advisor, the statement said.

Sun Life noted Luk's «remarkable achievements,» including the establishment of an «advanced and enduring» mandatory provident fund (MPF) business. Under her leadership, Sun Life has grew to be the fourth largest MPF service provider in Hong Kong,
