A major heavyweight in onshore wealth management in China has left China Merchants Bank and is believed to be joining a foreign financial giant.

Wang Jing has left China Merchants Bank after serving most recently as the head of its private banking operations. Wang was instrumental in China Merchants Bank’s rise in wealth management since its launch in 2007.
