T. Rowe Price names the successor to Murray Brewer, the former distribution head of the dual Australasian markets.
Darren Hall will succeed Brewer, who will retire at the end of 2020 after 14 years with the firm, effective August 28 this year. In his new Sydney-based role, Hall will report to Singapore-based Nick Trueman, T. Rowe Price’s APAC head of distribution. Hall will be responsible for the institutional and financial intermediary business in Australia and New Zealand.
Hall has more than 20 years of industry experience including 13 with T. Rowe Price since 2007. Previously, he had also worked with the likes of Schroder Investments Australia and Credit Suisse Asset Management.
Australia and New Zealand
T. Rowe Price’s presence in Australia kicked off in 2004 and it has since grown the business with a focus on global equities. In addition to global strategies for institutional clients, the firm also has five unit trust funds targeting the retail segment. And moving forward, it is looking to further expand its client coverage and investment offering.
«Over the years, we have put in place a strategy to diversify our business by covering more segments and clients and providing a broader range of investment strategies to clients in Australia,» said Trueman.
