BNP Paribas internally moves an executive from Europe to Hong Kong to lead its securities services unit.

Franck Dubois has been appointed as the head of Asia Pacific at BNP Paribas Securities Services, according to a statement. In his new Hong Kong-based role, Dubois will report regionally to Paul Yang, APAC chief executive of corporate and institutional banking, and global to Alessandro Gioffreda, global head of territory management.

Dubois has held a number of senior roles within the bank’s investment banking and securities services business in Asia and Europe. He was most recently the head of France and Belgium before being transferred to Hong Kong for the new role. 

«Dubois brings with him direct experience from our biggest markets in Europe, as well as knowledge of the local environment having previously worked in Hong Kong,» Yang explained. 

Successor in Europe

Replacing Dubois as head of France and Belgium will be Pierre Jond, effective August 1, reporting to Gioffreda. Jon joined the French lender in 1994 and is currently the chief of staff for Patrick Colle, chief executive of BNP Paribas Securities Services. His previous roles include head of corporate trust service and head of Australia and New Zealand.

According to the statement, Jond’s responsibilities will be to continue developing BNP Paribas Securities Services’ offering, particularly for institutional investors.
