Financial market data provider Refinitv appoints a new head of North Asia to succeed the former incumbent Neil Pabari.
David Day joined the firm as its North Asia head and site leader of Hong Kong last month, according to a statement, succeeding Pabari who was promoted to head of regional proposition sales Asia. Day will oversee the company’s businesses across Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan with a reporting line to Alfred Lee, APAC managing director.
Day has over 20 years of experience across strategy, business development and investment banking roles at firms like Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. He was most recently a managing director in the APAC financial services unit of London-based IHS Markit and was previously the APAC head for financial services solutions and data provider Ipreo.
«COVID-19 is having a profound impact on markets and commerce across the globe,» said Refinitiv’s Lee. «We believe it is hastening digital adoption across all industries and driving the use of data to underpin investment and business decisions.»
