Aberdeen Standard Investments bolsters its Japan unit with the hire of a former Schroders executive.
Sadayuki Takahashi has been named deputy head of Japan, according to a statement, in the newly created Tokyo-based position. Effective as of yesterday, Takahashi was also named as a board member at ASI Japan and will work closely with the business unit’s CEO and representative director Ken Yajima.
Takahashi was most recently a chief operating officer of distribution and head of product development with Schroders Japan where he joined 14 years ago. Previously, he had also worked with the likes of J.P. organ and the Bank of New York in Tokyo for another 16 years in various senior roles across client services and global custody.
