The appointment will enable the firm’s institutional sales team to deepen its channel focus as the firm diversifies its business in the institutional market.
T. Rowe Price has appointed Craig Hurt as its new head of institutional for Australia and New Zealand, effective October 5, the Baltimore-headquartered asset manager announced in a statement on Monday.
The Sydney-based industry veteran joins the firm after 16 years at Axa Investment Managers, where he was country head of Australia and New Zealand since 2007. He has been active in the ESG investing space for over a decade and has had led successful launches of ESG integrated strategies, the announcement said.
Hurt will be responsible for leading a growing team of institutional sales professionals to service existing clients and develop new relationships with relevant investment solutions. He will report to Darren Hall, head of distribution for Australia and New Zealand.
