Natixis affiliate Ostrum Asset Management has appointed an HSBC Global Asset Management veteran as its head of equities.
Frederic Leguay will be responsible for the equity team in the insurance and ALM solutions department at Ostrum Asset Management, the company said in a press release Thursday.
Leguay will manage a team of seven equity manager-analysts, lead the equity investment strategy and client relations, and develop the business in France and the rest of Europe, the press release said. He will report to Gaelle Mallejac, head of insurance and ALM solutions, and a member of the executive committee, the release said.
After joining HSBC Global Asset Management in 2006 as the head of European equities for large caps, he later became head of European equities, and was the head of the equity department since 2012, the release said.
Ostrum Asset Management is a European institutional investment manager, offering liability-driven investments via asset management services in fixed-income and insurance-related management as well as investment services. The company manages 442 billion euro in assets for large institutional clients, and 581 billion euros in assets under administration for professional investors.
