Financial research firm Morningstar has announced the appointment of a managing director for Southeast Asia.
Morningstar has appointed Shihan Abeyguna as managing director, Southeast Asia, according to a statement, reporting to head of global sales Julie Willoughby. Abeyguna will retain his current role as head of business development, Asia and regional leader, Southeast Asia. In the newly created role, he will collaborate across the firm’s business units to drive growth in the Southeast Asian region.
Abeyguna has been working at Morningstar for 17 years after first joining its Chicago headquarters in 2007. He has since held various leadership roles in product, strategy and sales.
