London-based Standard Chartered has promoted a managing director to lead its wealth business in multiple markets, including the Middle East.
Standard Chartered has promoted Ayesha Abbas to managing director, head of affluent and wealth for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Pakistan and UAE, according to a LinkedIn post.
Abbas first joined Standard Chartered in 2007 and was most recently head of consumer, private and business banking, UAE. Prior to that, she worked at HSBC for 12 years, last as its regional head of premier and wealth sales – Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
