A 26-year J.P. Morgan has reportedly been appointed as the bank’s Hong Kong chief executive officer.
J.P. Morgan has appointed Kam Shing Kwang as Hong Kong CEO, according to a «Reuters» report citing an internal memo. In the role, she reports to Asia CEO Sjoerd Leenart.
Kwang has worked at J.P. Morgan for 26 years in various roles in Hong Kong and Singapore. Moving forward, she will retain her existing role as the US lender’s North Asia chair.
Kwang succeeds Harshika Patel as she completes her term as Hong Kong CEO. In October 2023, Patel was named as CEO of J.P. Morgan’s private banking arm in Asia, then succeeding Kwang as the previous head.
