Stonehage Fleming is expanding its workforce further and has hired a Swedish investment expert from EFG International.
Stonehage Fleming, an international family office, has hired Eva Sheppard (pictured left) as a senior director for its investment management business based in London, the company said in a statement today.
Sheppard, a Swedish citizen, managed the portfolios of wealthy clients of Swiss private bank EFG International in the U.K.
Responsible for One Client
Before joining EFG International, Sheppard had worked for HSBC Private Bank and Svenska Handelsbanken for 15 years. At Stonehage Fleming, Sheppard will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of one client.
The family office in recent months hired experts from Swiss companies such as UBS, GAM and Rothschild as was reported by finews.com.
Biggest in EMEA
Stonehage Fleming claims to be the biggest family office in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and manages the finances of some 250 families globally. It has $43 billion in assets under management, $12 billion of which at its investment banking unit.
