In the latest in a series of strategic hires the firm has appointed a dedicated Asia Research Manager.
With over 10 years of experience in property research, Benedict Lai has joined Savills Investment Management (Savills IM).
Based in Singapore he will report to Kiran Patel, Chief Investment Officer at Savills IM, the firm said in a media release.
Expansion and Activity
Prior to taking on the role Lai held various positions at PGIM Real Estate (previously known as Pramerica Real Estate Investors), Capital Malls Asia Limited, as well as Jones Lang LaSalle.
In his new position, he will be responsible for developing house views on Asia Pacific (APAC) real estate markets and providing thought leadership for new fund ideas and investment themes for Savills IM.
The asset manager has been bulking up its APAC capabilities with several senior hires across the region this year. It has also won several new commitments including a significant mandate in Japan.
