Standard Chartered appointed a seasoned industry specialist as the global head of Cash for its Transaction Banking business
Based in Singapore, Alan Lin has been named as global head of Cash, Transaction Banking at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). In his new position he will report to Alex Manson, global head of Transaction Banking and will be a member of the Transaction Banking Management Team .Lin will be responsible for growing the cash management franchise for the Bank’s Transaction Banking business.
Lin is a banking veteran with 24 years of banking experience predominantly in Transaction Banking with Citibank. Prior to joining, he was Citi’s Greater China Treasury and Trade Solutions head. He held various senior leadership positions prior to that including running Citi’s global solutions business for payments and receivables as well as managing transaction services and implementation teams.
The appointment (effective 18 September 2017) further strengthens the Transaction Banking Management Team after the recent appointment of David Koh as regional head, Transaction Banking, Greater China and North Asia, based in Hong Kong. Koh joined from Westpac Banking Corporation where he was head of Corporate & Institutional Banking, Asia.
