Blackrock made three senior hires to strengthen its client business team in Australia.

Scarlett Dorney will join Blackrock as a director, client business, at the end of October. Based in Sydney and reporting to Jason Collins, head of client business for Blackrock in Australasia, Dorney will be responsible for leading the multi-manager and institutional sales strategy for a portfolio of key clients.

Prior to joining the U.S. investment manager she worked at MSCI for five years within the index business. She also spent six years at Westpac Banking Corporation, the company said in a press release.

Jeannie Bredberg takes on the role of director for the Blackrock retail client business. Based in Melbourne, she is responsible for wealth advisory sales in the Southern region. She reports to Stuart Dunn who has assumed increased responsibility running the wealth advisory team for Australia.

Before joining Blackrock, Bredberg spent six years at BT Financial Group. She also held distribution roles at Macquarie for over 10 years, and worked at Russell Investments as their state manager for Victoria and Tasmania.

James Waterworth rejoins Blackrock as a vice president and iShares specialist. Based in Melbourne and reporting to Alex Zaika, head of Wealth for the firms iShares business in Australia. Waterworth had previously worked for Blackrock in London as vice president. He began his career in Sydney at UBS in equity derivatives sales.
