Having been based in Korea since 1999, the French-based institution has now decided to launch a securities branch in the capital.
Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) has received regulatory approval to officially open its securities branch in Seoul, South Korea, according to an announcement sent Tuesday to the media.
The regulatory approval is an effective upgrade for Natixis CIB, given it was present in the country as a representative office, which it opened. Now, as a securities operation, it will provide a diverse range of securities and over-the-counter financial products.
Besides this, Natixis CIB will also apply for the relevant licenses that will help it further develop its investment banking business in South Korea.
