London-headquartered HSBC is reportedly expanding its coverage of US equities by hiring new researchers worldwide, including in Asia.
HSBC will expand its research coverage of US equities, according to a «Reuters» report citing an internal memo. The British lender plans to add approximately 150 new large cap names by the end of 2023 to the 46 names that are already being covered.
To support this, HSBC will make 20 new hires, who will join the bank in the US, Mexico, UAE and India. Recent hires include Steve Barsey, Daniela Bretthauer, Wesley Brooks, Meredith Jensen, Saul Martinez and Alastair Pinder, covering various sectors including tech and consumer discretionary.
