A former longstanding Credit Suisse executive is heading for fintech. He is poised to join a blockchain software firm in Hong Kong.
Block.one is hiring Sheel Kohli (pictured above) as its chief for marketing and communications, the blockchain firm which publishes the Eosio software protocol and sells the Eos token said in a statement on Tuesday.
Kohli, formerly a longstanding Credit Suisse executive based in Hong Kong, will take a seat in Block.one's top management and report to president Rob Jesudason. In his 13 years at the Swiss bank, Kohli was responsible for all of Credit Suisse's communications in Asia-Pacific, including for investment banking, private banking and asset management.
He was also heavily involved in the bank’s flagship Asian Investment Conference held every spring. Prior to Credit Suisse, Kohli led corporate communications for Asia-Pacific at ING for five years and also worked as a Europe-based business correspondent for the «South China Morning Post» for just under a decade.
