T. Rowe Price has hired a consultant relations manager for Asia – a newly created role to cater to the regional market.
Ashlesha Vaishampayan joins the asset manager to lead and boost engagement with consultants, researchers and platforms involved with the financial industry’s institutional and intermediary players in Asia. In her Singapore-based role, she reports to Nick Slater, head of EMEA and APAC consultant relations, which she had worked with for five months before the appointment.
Vaishampayan was most recently with Russell Investments in London, where she was a senior manager for U.K. consultant relations. Previously, she had also worked with Schroders and Standard Chartered.
T. Rowe Price has been recently expanding its consultants business in Asia Pacific via hiring for its relations team. Prior to Vaishampayan’s appointment, the firm added Cassandra Crowe in October last year as head of consultant relations for Australia and New Zealand.
