Vanguard names a new head of Asia to succeed Axel Lomholt who was serving as interim head since December 31 last year.
Scott Conking was made the head of Asia, effective last week, to oversee management, distribution, and operations at the Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo offices. Conking report to the passive investment provider's head of international operations James Norris.
«[Conking] is uniquely qualified to lead the next chapter of our growth in Asia, and further our mission of giving investors the best chance for investment success,» Norris said in a statement.
Conking joined Vanguard in 1984 and has since spent 36 years with the firm in various leadership roles across its individual investor, institutional, retirement and corporate business. He is also Vanguard’s chief culture and diversity officer.
