Global asset manager Schroders names the successors to the role after the former regional chief executive was promoted earlier this year.
Chris Durack, country head of Australia, and Susan Soh, country head of Singapore, were named as co-heads of the region, effective as of the second quarter of this year while retaining their respective country head roles. Durack and Soh succeed the former sole head of the region, Lieven Debruyne, who was promoted to global head of distribution earlier this year.
In addition, Schroders also hired Noriaki Kurose as its country head of Japan, effective May 1, succeeding Shigesuke Kashiwagi, who chose to step down following the end of his directorship term. Kurose was previously with Pictet Asset Management as a managing director and board member of its Japan businesses.
«Schroders recognizes the importance of the Asia Pacific region, which has seen rapid growth and offers continued opportunities for our clients,» said Peter Harrison, group chief executive at Schroders, in a statement.
