The Hong Kong-based multi-family office and asset manager continues with its recruitment drive, bringing in a sales trading and execution specialist.
Raffles Family Office has appointed Paul Tay as senior vice president of trading and advisory. Tay who will be based in Singapore, will cover the trading desk and work closely with portfolio managers and the rest of the investment team, the company said in a LinkedIn post on Monday.
Tay has more than a decade of experience in spanning sales, sales trading, advisory and execution. He was most recently a foreign exchange trader at RBC Wealth Management in Singapore, where he spent the past seven years. He previously spent three and a half years at OCBC Securities. Before his career in finance, Tay represented Singapore in badminton.

Raffles Family Office, founded in Hong Kong in 2016, currently has a headcount of about 60. It expanded to Singapore in 2018.
The firm has made a number of senior hires in recent months as it sets its sights on regional expansion. Recent additions include former DBS Private Bank senior director Marvin Koh as managing director for relationship management, former Schroders Wealth Management chief executive Simon Lints as strategic advisor, and wealth management veteran Stella Kong as managing director for its Greater China business.
Founder Chi Man Kwan previously said in an interview with finews.asia that the company plans to grow its $2 billion in assets under management to $10 billion through the acquisition of smaller asset managers in Hong Kong and Singapore.
