Credit Suisse bolsters its onshore private banking unit in India with the hire of two former Kotak Mahindra relationship managers, according to a memo seen by finews.asia.

Suveer Modi and Sudipto Sinha join the unit as senior relationship managers, according to a statement seen by finews.asia, reporting to Puneet Matta, onshore head of India wealth management. Modi and Sinha will be based in Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.

Modi has over 20 years of private banking experience, joining most recently from Kotak Mahindra Bank where he was an executive director. Previously, he also contributed to setting up the private banking business in Rajasthan for ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank. 

Sinha has two decades of onshore private banking experience, joining most recently from Kotak Mahindra Bank’s wealth arm where he worked since its inception in 2004. He held multiple roles with the Indian lender managing teams, markets and leading its sales and advisory business under Kotak Investment Advisors.
