T. Rowe Price’s former head of internal audit has relocated from the U.S. to Hong Kong to become a regional operating officer for Asia Pacific.
Mike Weigand relocates from T. Rowe Price’s headquarter in Baltimore to join the newly created Hong Kong-based role, according to a statement.
Weigand will continue to report to Baltimore-based Céline Dufétel chief operating officer, chief financial officer and a member of T. Rowe Price’s management committee.
He joined the firm in 2018 and has since been its head of internal audit before the latest appointment.
Cross-Functional Guidance
According to the statement, Weigand will be tasked with local coordination and cross-functional guidance in the region across client account services, investment operations, enterprise risk, finance, enterprise change, tax, human resources, legal and compliance, procurement, technology, and real estate and workplace services.
