New York-headquartered fintech provider Broadridge has hired a former executive from TD securities to lead its regional expansion in Asia Pacific.
Broadridge appoints Ian Strudwick as its Singapore-based head of Asia Pacific, according to a statement, reporting to Samir Pandiri, President of Broadridge International.
Strudwick will be tasked with leading Broadridge’s regional expansion the key markets of Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan.
«Financial businesses in Asia are grappling with trends around digitization, mutualization, and data and analytics while operating in times of increasing complexity,» said Pandiri in the statement. «Capital markets present plenty of growth opportunities, but firms must also navigate increasing challenges from new regulations and market changes.»
Ex-TD Securities
Strudwick has 23 years of extensive experience in the financial services and technology sector including 16 years in leadership roles for global and regional teams across capital markets, trade finance and business services.
He was most recently with Toronto-headquartered TD securities where he was last its managing director and APAC head of global operations and business services.
Broadridge continues to recruit for leadership roles in APAC including, most recently, the hire of David Ingleson in January this year as its chief operating officer for the region.
