GAM expands its distribution team with the hire of an ex-Blackrock executive for its institutional business in Australia.
Sophie McFadyen joins GAM as a senior manager, according to a statement, reporting to head of Australia Alex Zaika.
McFadyen will be based in Sydney and responsible for growing and servicing the institutional market in Australia
She was most recently with Blackrock where she spent six years as a vice president in the client business team focused on institutional and wealth clients in Australia and New Zealand. Previously, she spent five years at Credit Suisse where she was focused on prime brokerage sales with hedge funds.
