Lombard Odier Investment Managers adds a former portfolio manager from Harvest Global Investments – the third hire from the Chinese asset manager this year.
June Chua joins Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) as a portfolio manager, according to a statement, co-running the Asian and emerging market equities franchise with Odile Lange-Broussy.
Based in Hong Kong, Chua will also have specific co-lead portfolio management responsibility for the 'Asia high conviction' and ‘emerging market high conviction’ strategies.
Chua and Lange-Broussy will oversee $2 billion in assets under management (AUM) across three core strategies: 'emerging market high conviction', 'Asia high conviction' and 'China high conviction'.
Harvest Hires
Chua joins from Harvest Global Investments as the third hire from the Chinese asset manager to LOIM this year.
In March, LOIM also added ex-Harvest portfolio manager and investment analyst, Henry Zhang and Faye Gao, respectively, to the Asian and emerging market equities platform.
Europe Equities
LOIM has also hired Arnaud d’Aligny as a Geneva-based portfolio manager for European equities.
He was previously a partner and lead portfolio manager of sustainability-focused strategies investing in all-cap European equities at Sycomore Asset Management.
At LOIM, d’Aligny will oversee the strategy for European equities, working closely with Johan Utterman and his team to drive forward the pan-European and Swiss equities franchises which have $3.7 billion in AUMs.
