Citi has announced the appointment of a new head of commercial banking for India.
Bhanu Vohra has been named head of commercial banking, India, according to a statement, replacing Tushar Vikram, who becomes global head of healthcare for Citi Commercial Bank (CCB). Based in Mumbai, Zohra reports to Citi India CEO Ashu Khullar and head of CCB APAC Rajat Madhok.
Zohra joined Citi in 2000 and held various roles across global markets as well as treasury and trade services in the APAC and EMEA regions. Previously, he was the India country head of the global subsidiaries group within the banking capital markets and advisory (BCMA) business.
According to Citi, CCB in India banks 45 percent of the country's unicorns and is focused on developing industry expertise to support clients across healthcare, chemicals, consumer, technology, industrials, multinationals and more.
