MSCI has announced the appointment of two executives in charge of client coverage in Japan and Southeast Asia.
MSCI appoints Ryoya Terasawa as head of Japan client coverage, according to a statement. Based in Tokyo, he reports to head of APAC client coverage Kazuya Nagasawa. Ryoya joins from J.P. Morgan where he worked for over 20 years of experience, most recently as its head of Japan sales and marketing, covering large Japanese institutional clients.
MSCI also named Chitra Hepburn as head of South and Southeast Asia client coverage, in addition to her existing responsibilities as head of APAC ESG and climate client coverage. She is based in Singapore and also reports to Kazuya. Chitra joined MSCI four years ago and prior to that, she spent 15 years in investment banking with a focus on green financing.
In their roles, the two will be responsible for leading the firm’s commercial activities in their respective markets, managing key client relationships and delivering a «cohesive, solutions-driven approach» for clients.
