A former Securities and Futures Commission regulator has joined Mayer Brown JSM’s litigation practice in Hong Kong.
Alan Linning has joined the firm’s Hong Kong office as a partner in its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice.
Linning focuses his practice on financial services regulatory matters, investigations and proceedings, as well as commercial litigation, the firm said on its website.
Investment Banking Role
Prior to taking up the new role Linning was a Hong Kong-based partner at Sidley Austin, and before that was the managing director and head of Asia regional compliance at J.P. Morgan.
Previously, he served as the executive director of enforcement and a board member of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in Hong Kong.
