Pictet Wealth Management has appointed a former Edmond de Rothschild banker as its chief investment officer, Asia.
Based in Singapore, David Gaud will oversee investment strategies for Asian private clients, he joined the firm in early August and will report to Cesar Perez Ruiz, CIO of Pictet Wealth Management, the firm said in a statement.
Gaud moved to Pictet from Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, where he started working in 2006, first in France and then in Hong Kong, as an Asian equities fund manager. In his latest role at Edmond de Rothschild, he was Head of Emerging Equity.
Prior to that he worked at HSBC Bank in Singapore and then in London, before joining Deutsche Bank’s Asia Equity Sales team in London. He began his career in 1996 at Fimat Bank in Singapore, where he was Desk Manager Futures and Options.
