Lombard Odier appointed a new head of family services in Asia, based in Singapore. The company poached the banker from a Swiss rival.
At the Singapore branch of Lombard Odier, Lee Wong will head the expansion of Lombard Odier’s wealth planning and family services in the region. She will report to Vincent Magnenat, CEO Asia at Lombard Odier, the company said in a statement today.
Wong joins Lombard Odier from Union Bancaire Privée (UBP), where she was head of wealth planning in South Asia and led the team advising high net worth clients regarding their family wealth needs. Prior to the acquisition of Coutts by UBP, Wong was head of wealth planning South Asia at Coutts. Before that she was an executive director at UBS and also worked at BNP Paribas private bank in Singapore.
Japanese Appointment
In a separate move, Lombard Odier installed Seema Bhayat as managing director of its Tokyo branch. Following her previous mandate as deputy head of private banking Asia and head of wealth planning Asia, Bhayat took charge of her new role in September.
As managing director in Tokyo, Bhayat will lead the expansion of Lombard Odier’s private banking business in Japan.
