DBS Group bolstered its digital credentials. The Singaporean lender is adding the chief executive officer of a South Korea-based technology company to its board of directors.
Singapore's biggest bank is adding Bonghan Cho as a non-executive and independent director, DBS said in a statement on Tuesday. Cho, an expert in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, joins the nominating and audit committees at the bank. The appointment is effective on Thursday.
Cho is the founder and CEO of Equalkey, a South Korea-based company which uses artificial intelligence in mathematics and numbers education. He was previously chief innovation officer at Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance. Before that, he was deputy CEO and chief information officer of Hana Financial Holdings.
