A Singapore-based private syndication platform has launched an investment product that allows individual accredited investors to access private equity deals for as little as S$5,000.
Capbridge has launched a product called Preferred Access, that will allow users to view all available investment deals on its platform. These deals have been negotiated and invested in by professional investors, who are committing their own funds and performing due diligence on the investment.
The minimum investment amount is S$5,000, and investors can receive their returns upon a liquidity event, such as a public listing. Users can select the opportunity in which they wish to co-invest and pledge their desired investment amount, said CapBridge in a joint statement with partner Wholesale Investor, an Australasia investment platform.
Fund Raising Platform for Private Companies
Private companies may also use the Preferred Access programme as part of their capital-raising exercise. Companies looking to grow can tap global private capital a cost-efficient manner while remaining privately held, said the statement. One of the first few companies to participate in the Preferred Access programme is a healthcare equipment company.
CapBridge, which counts the Singapore Exchange as its shareholder, was started in 2015. It leverages on technology to match professional institutional investors to curated deals.
