UBS' domestic unit is promoting its biggest «agile» advocate into a strategic role.
The Swiss bank is appointing Kaja Bertoli as head of strategy, effective immediately, according to a memo seen by finews.com. She follows Victor Campos, who is leaving after just over one year.
A former consultant, Bertoli has been with UBS since 2012 and is currently head of business management for Swiss operating chief Karin Oertli. Prior to joining Oertli's team, Bertoli worked in UBS' private bank in various roles.
«Agile» Linchpin
Bertoli is the linchpin in roughly 15 «agile» work projects in the Swiss unit, as finews.com reported in December. She will continue to carry responsibility for this push as well as sustainability issues, Oertli said in the memo.
To that end, Bertoli will continue to oversee a change management team run by Yvonne Johansson. She will also supervise the strategic «innovation lab,» which pools, filters, and evaluates ideas submitted by staff.
