The B2B2C specialty insurance arm of global insurance giant Allianz has hired a senior executive with 20 years of global experience in the financial services industry to the role.
Allianz Partners, which operates the brands Allianz Assistance, Allianz Automotive, Allianz Travel and Allianz Care, has appointed Vinay Surana as regional chief executive officer for Asia Pacific, the firm said in a press release on Thursday.
Based in Singapore, Surana will lead the firm's Asia Pacific business, and will be responsible for China, Japan, India, Australasia and Southeast Asia. He reports directly to Dan Assouline, global head of markets.
Global Experience
Surana joins from AIG, where he spent the past 13 years of his career, most recently holding the position of senior vice president, head of individual personal insurance for Asia Pacific, a role based in Sydney.
He brings to the firm leadership and global experience from a number of senior roles in the U.S., Australia and India.
