Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian and more were allegedly paid extravagant sums to party with Malaysian fugitive Jho Low, according to a government witness from the ongoing 1MDB trial.
Earlier this week, the jury in the federal court trial learned of invoices from a Las Vegas party for the now infamous Jho Low that totaled $3.6 million.
Major items on the tab include 65 bottles of Cristal Champagne for $100,000, a whopping $38,955 tip and fees for celebrities to participate in the party.
Strategic Group
According to Alex Cohen – chief financial officer of Strategic Group, an entertainment and marketing company that arranged parties for Low – the events featured various celebrities such as Sean «Diddy» Combs, Fergie and more.
In fact, Low provided Strategic Group with at least 25 percent of its profit in 20212.
Price List
During the Brooklyn-based trial, U.S. prosecutors showed the jury a price list for featuring some of the country’s top celebrities at parties.
The list includes Leonard DiCaprio ($250,000), Paris Hilton ($100,000), Megan Fox ($250,000) and Kim Kardashian ($50,000).
